Plastics- Material Recycle
Terminology
Basel Treaty (The Basel Treaty):
By managing international movement of harmful waste between borders, this international treaty try to prevent (specially for developing countries) the inadequate processing of waste pollution.
RoHS Directiv
RoHS stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment"
This concerns the restricted use of specific harmful matter(s) in electronic and electrical machinery and equipment form the order of EU.
Green Supply
A part of it is a series of environmental preservation activities.
Generally, consumers call commodities and services whose influence to environment little are Green Purchase, and we call those supplies of products with least environmental impact from those enterprise and self-governing communities Green Supply. In Japan, 'Green Purchasing' has been enforced from April 2001, in regards to legalize material supply in public agencies.http://www.env.go.jp/en/laws/policy/green/index.html
In addition, Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) and Japan Green Procurement Survey Standardization Initiative (JGPSSI) has joint guidlines with Europe and the United States on "RoHS Compliance" concerning harmful chemical substances.
Now all enterprises are looking at Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) such as promotion of environmental conservation. We aim towards product making which is based on recycling type of social formation; at all stages of product life cycle which reaches to development, design, materials supply, production, sales, usage and abolition that can decrease our environmental load.
Material, Thermal & Chemical Recycling
In Japan, recycling is roughly classified into 3 types as above. As for details please browse website of Plastic Waste Management Institute.
Post-Industry & Post-Consumer
Biodegradable
We are developing markets in Japan and foreign countries as we are the designated agent of the advanced cornstarch-type plastic which presently is producing in China.
What is Biodegradable Plastic and its Characteristics
It is a plant-type plastic which disassembles with micro-organisms and finally changes to water and carbon dioxide. First-time recycling possible with secure quality control.
Degree of Biodegradation
It is the quantity which oxygen and carbon dioxide are spat out; they are measured accurately and complying with the standard of ISO and alike. As for aqueous medium measurement is ISO 14851, earth measurement is ISO 17556 while controlled compositing measurement is ISO 14855.
Symposium
With the purpose which renders plastic recycling industry, we would like to raise the below questions for discussions:
1) Is there any difference of consciousness between reprocessed raw materials, scrap and rubbish?
2) If your buyer takes whatever you sell, will you sell anything?
3) Have you grasped the recycling circumstance after sales and discharge?
4) Is high-price bidder the good trader?
